The Element of Interconnection in Universe: Complexity & Human-Natural Systems
Looking at our Pre/Perinatal Experience from the perspective of Modern Sciences and Theories (Complex Theory) we can clearly see the ways that our Cosmos has come into being in general and how (human) life appeared and keeps evolving. Studying the “Cosmic Library” we can see the same Eternal Universal laws that govern Cosmos are at work behind our Human Life Dynamics.
In Latin, the word complexus, from which the word complex derives, meant woven together, encompassing, made up of various interconnected parts, while in psychology the word complex refers to a group of related, often repressed memories, thoughts and impulses that compel characteristic or habitual patterns of feelings, thought and behavior. Moreover, complex is also “not simple” or “difficult to understand or deal with”. Until we do.
It’s been quite a long time now that in science as well as in health, whatever we thought of as “difficult to grasp” we developed the tendency to “break down” in small parts to make sense of it.
And this strategy of reducing and cutting down in our effort to understand has been a strategy we can see in other aspects of our life. Cutting down and scrutinizing to better understand needs to be followed by synthesizing the parts and looking at the big scene once again with the new eyes, discovering connections, even in the form of contrasts, tendencies, groupings and all parameters.
A number of sciences among which Biology, Chemistry, Computer Simulation, Economics, Mathematics, Physics and communications have developed and have proven theories that cast more light to the ways Nature functions when creating worlds even multiverses, not just our Universe.
Today, the Theory of Complexity has developed key principles that can explain complex adaptive systems (CAS) and complex evolving systems (CES) in more appropriate ways.
In this presentation, we will see how in any system all elements are interconnected, how they interact with each other and with the environment in which they exist and how Complex Evolving Systems can adapt and evolve creating new order and coherence. Then, we’ll see how the agendas of each part in the mother-baby system can work effectively as a team for the optimum outcome. We will look at the laws of co-evolution, speak about open systems and how they work and we’ll explain terms like attractors, exaptation, feedback, path dependence, spontaneous self-organization, chaos and order as well as fractals and see how all these manifest in human relationships starting in our primal stage.
Finally, it will conclude showing how complex theory can challenge our pre-conceived ideas of how life co-evolves from generation to generation.
