The Dignity of Human Life From pre-Conception to Last Breath: What Parents, Scientists, Educators & Poticians Need to Know
Human dignity lies in the core of our society making it a common reference point in international law, personhood and human rights, bioethics, humanitarian law, equality law, health, education and all political scenes. The main recognition of the inherent dignity and of the equal and inalienable rights of all members of the human family is the foundation of freedom, justice and peace in the world.
This short presentation will briefly speak about the “what” and the “who” of human dignity, link it to the vulnerability of the primal beginning, mention briefly the challenges of potential changes in the ontology of humanity as a result of the irrational use of technology and transhumanism and it will finally provide the key points that parents, scientists, educators, politicians and policy makers need to bear in mind so that the already meta-human can retain his/ her status as a human person.
