Study Diary Assignment: Forming the Line — A Visit to the Pottery Artist of the Neural Axis
Instructions:
In your inner imagery, visit the workspace of a master pottery artist — a being whose craft is shaping the very foundations of your future embodiment. This artist specializes in forming the neural plate and tube, setting the axis upon which your bodily organization and future perceptions will align.
As you enter their studio:
-
Observe how the artist gathers and channels the energetic and material sources from the environment to dough the neural plate. Watch the attentiveness and subtle skill with which they begin to bend and sculpt it into the neural tube.
-
Engage in a dialogue with the artist. Ask questions as you observe:
-
How do you know where to fold and when?
-
What informs your sense of above and below, inside and outside, right and left?
-
Is there a guiding design — a blueprint — or do you follow something more intuitive?
-
Do you feel you are serving a wider entelechy? If so, how do you know what it is?
-
What would happen if the process shifted or paused?
-
-
Listen deeply to the artist’s responses. Allow your own thoughts, assumptions, emotions, or bodily sensations to emerge. Perhaps their words awaken memory, awe, doubt, resistance, or clarity. Note it all.
-
As you prepare to leave the studio, reflect:
-
What sense do you make out of this process now?
-
Did it shift your understanding of directionality, polarity, or intention in early life?
-
Did it evoke anything from your current state of life, learning, or decision-making?
-
Was this encounter deeply meaningful, unsettling, indifferent? Why?
-
Write your reflections in your study diary with sincerity and depth. Let the assignment be a living dialogue between the remembered becoming and the becoming that continues today. Submit your work to your tutor/ mentor at the end of this lesson/ unit. Thank you.

“The general struggle for existence of animate beings is not a struggle for raw materials – these, for organisms, are air, water and soil, all abundantly available – nor for energy which exists in plenty in any body in the form of heat, but a struggle for [negative] entropy, which becomes available through the transition of energy from the hot sun to the cold earth.”
