Dear colleague,
For this assignment you need a volunteer.
Ask him/her to make a colour drawing/ painting of the following scenes:
1. The egg that took part in his/her conception and her life in the ovary
2. The egg leaving the ovary
3. The sperm that took part in his/her conception a little after ejaculation
4. Conception
5. Going down the tube
6. Implantation
2. Ask your volunteer to provide a title for each drawing or painting they made
3 . Ask your volunteer to provide a short paragraph summarizing the scene they drew/ painted
Put each scene together with the title and the summary.
Finally comment on what you see, using your knowledge so far.
Put all these in your study diary which you will submit to your tutor/ mentor at the end of this lesson/ unit. Thank you.

Emotional shock is so pervasive that it’s invisible. It is so ingrained in our society especially medical and educational practices) that it’s unquestioned. It’s similar to trauma in so many ways that it’s undetected. Its treatment breaks so many “rules” that a new therapeutic paradigm is arising. The similarities are many, but differences are vital. The failure to recognize the differences between emotional trauma and emotional shock is the primary reason for treatment failure, or failure-to-progress. Terry Larimore
